Dear Customers,

Life has changed rapidly over the last three months. We wanted to reach out to you personally to let you know what we are doing here at the Union Bluff Hotel to support you and your travel plans. Our guests and staff’s health are our top priority as we overcome the challenges presented with the current situation. As we open our doors back up, we want you to know you are entering a clean, healthy environment where we put our staff and customers first.

In preparation for our re-opening on June 1, we have gone above and beyond safety protocol provided by the American Hotel & Lodging Association, National  Restaurant Association, State and CDC guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment for every guest and staff member.

We have researched and learned as much as available about the impact of COVID-19.  We have determined the following actions will be in the best interest to help minimize potential exposure to any threats. We are closely following the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus

We have instituted a policy of wiping down with disinfectant all door handles, doorknobs, and surfaces that are commonly touched, including menus, front desk and elevators, once every hour.  Public bathroom maintenance has been increased to several times daily.  Housekeepers have been instructed to use hospital grade disinfectant on all lamps, doorknobs, fixtures and counter tops.

All staff will wear face masks. Guest are required to wear masks in public spaces. All employees will have their temperature taken before they start their shift. We are requiring any employee that is not feeling well to stay home. We encourage our staff and guests when possible to maintain a six-foot distance. We recommend that you please not visit the Union Bluff if you do not feel well or have traveled to an area of the world identified as posing a corona virus related risk.

At this time Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey residents are welcome to come with NO restrictions. As we do not agree, our Maine Governor says all other states will need to to sign a certificate of compliance saying you have either had a negative COVID-19 test no later than 72 hours prior to arrival, or that you have quarantined for 14 days prior to your arrival. These rule are changing daily so please call us (800)833-0721 if you have any questions.

We are doing everything we can do to ensure your safety and provide maximum flexibility.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
